Jeffrey Firestone is a PhD Candidate at the University of California, Davis. He is a part of the Ecology Graduate Group, the Department of Plant Sciences, and the Weed Science Program at UCD. I am currently working on finishing my thesis, so haven't put time into this userpage. Contact me by my last name @ucdavis.edu if you have questions.

My research interests and background, and his colleagues, can be found at his lab webpage. I work with Lolium multiflorum (Annual or Italian ryegrass) for my research, although I also have research or interests in Cortaderia jubata and selloana (Pampas grass / Jubatagrass), Saccharum (Erianthus) ravennae (Ravennagrass or 'hardy pampas grass'), and Arctotheca calendula, among others. I formerly assisted studies on the gypsy moth (Lymantria dispar) and its nucleopolyhedrovirus.

And since there seem to be other Jeff Firestone's out there, I am the one who went to school at the University of Michigan (SNRE/Bio/English), TJHSST, UMBS and Mountain Lake Bio Station.

Hey Jeff!

Nice work on the Saccharum ravennae. Make sure you note it on the main page of the wiki!– Barry
